Trauma, Grief, and Substance Abuse Counseling in Arkansas

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Arkansas, Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CDAC), Certified Thanatologist, and Equine Therapist. I am a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and conducts DOT assessments for the Department of Transportation, supporting clients across Arkansas with substance use evaluations, treatment planning, and recovery support.

With over 23 years of clinical experience, I have worked with adults navigating trauma, grief, loss, substance use, and post-traumatic growth. I blend mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and expressive therapies—including equine-assisted therapy—to help clients process grief, trauma, and loss, transform despair into resilience, and integrate life experiences into meaningful growth.

I am passionate about supporting individual, family, and corporate systems in Arkansas, providing guidance in caregiver support, grief counseling, death and dying education, and trauma recovery. She believes the human experience is a balance of challenge and beauty, and that personal growth, joy, and community building are possible by addressing emotional blocks and embracing transformative healing.

Outside of my clinical work, I am a active member of my community in Arkansas, volunteering with the Faulkner County Master Gardeners, Conway Tree Board, neighborhood associations, and multiple animal rescues. I am married, a parent to grown children, and enjoy a menagerie of animals at home. I encourage clients to build a life they love, using therapy to transform challenges into empowerment, resilience, and personal fulfillment.
