Dillon Webster, MS, MA, LAC

Dillon currently holds an LAC and has over 8 years behavioral health experience in mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and severe mental illnesses. His experiences have led him to develop a broad understanding of psychology/mental health, as well as an empathetic and caring attitude toward people from all walks of life. He believes that everyone deserves a chance to be happy and fulfilled.

Dillon specializes in working with mood disorders like depression, addictions of many kinds, eating disorders, anxiety, emotional regulation/anger issues, motivation/self-efficacy, and relationship issues. He has also been working to develop his skills in working with LGBTQI+ individuals and their counseling needs. His primary interest lies in working with individuals 13 and older (he will take younger client's on a case by case basis), believing that the best approach to counseling is a collaborative one between the client and their therapist. "You're in the driver's seat, and I've got the map," is his personal counseling philosophy. Dillon believes that every client is an expert on their lives and personal experiences. It's the counselor's job to help their clients visualize the greater picture, unravel the messiness of their negative experiences, develop the skills they need to be successful, and put forth a plan to make their goals easier to reach.

Dillon's favorite moments in counseling are those "aha moments" where clients are able to see/understand themselves and make steps towards the changes they've always wanted to see. He uses techniques related to REBT, CBT, SFBT, Existential psychotherapy, reality therapy with choice theory, dual-mind theory emotional regulation, and is in the process of becoming certified in EMDR to better assist with trauma. His mission is to instill his client's with the tools they need to be more satisfied/content and provide a safe, comfortable place for them to process and sift through the chaos of life.
